Olympus Medical Systems Corp will start selling the Endo Capsule, the company's proprietary capsule endoscope for small intestine, in Japan Oct 15, 2008.
The company announced in September 2008 that it had gained approval from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to manufacture and sell the capsule endoscope in Japan.
The pricing is as follows.

Included components: receiver unit, viewer, battery pack, antenna unit, holder, battery charger, cradle and viewer cable
Workstation: Olympus WS-1

Included components: Endo Capsule PC set, LCD monitor and laser printer
Capsule Endoscope Set: MAJ-1733
¥89,250
Included components: capsule endoscope for small intestine (1 unit), antenna cover (10 units) and capsule endoscope recovery kit (5 units)
