TechnoHouse Co Ltd exhibited transparent 360° LED display unit "Litefast" at Inter BEE 2007, which is taking place from Nov 20-22, 2007, and started marketing the product in Japan.

Litefast is manufactured by Kinoton GMBH of Germany. It is a cylindrical transparent display unit that can contain commercial goods or other items for display. The exhibited model has a diameter of 75cm. It is priced at about ¥7,000,000.

In the product, four vertical bars, each fitted with 600 three-color LEDs, are arranged at 90 degree intervals. The bars make 12 or 13 revolutions per second, thereby displaying images.

The product can display three images of 600 (vertical) x 800 (horizontal) dots each, two images of 600 (vertical) x 1,200 (horizontal) dots each or one image with 600 (vertical) x 2,400 (horizontal) dots. It supports VGA, DVI and video signals. The largest model in the product line has a diameter of 150cm.

The product was launched in Germany two years ago. A TechnoHouse employee found it at IBC2007, an international exhibition of broadcasting equipment that took place in Netherlands in Sept 2007. After that, TechnoHouse entered into a distribution agreement with Kinoton in Dec 2007.
