Daiwa House Opens Japan's Largest Commercial 'Zero Energy Building'

Royal Homecenter Co Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daiwa House Industry Co Ltd, opened a large-scale commercial facility capable of realizing a ZEB (net zero energy building) in Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

The site area is about 20,000m2. And the facility is the largest commercial ZEB in Japan, according to Royal Homecenter.

For energy creation, the facility is equipped with a 1.2MW solar power generation system on its roof. All the electricity generated by the system is sold to Chubu Electric Power Co Inc.
