Hitachi Begins Operation of 12.7MW Solar Plant in Ibaraki

Hitachi Capital Corp announced July 2, 2014, that Hitachi Green Energy Corp, a subsidiary of Hitachi Capital, has completed the construction of a 12.7MW solar power plant in Namegata City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.

Hitachi Ltd provides EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services as well as O&M (operation and maintenance) services for the mega (large-scale) solar power plant. And Hitachi Capital will run a power generation business at the plant. The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of Hanwha Q Cells (245W x 51,660 units) and Hitachi (500kW x 19 units), respectively.


Correction Notice: Because of a translation error, we incorrectly used the title "Hitachi Begins Operation of 1.27MW Solar Plant in Ibaraki" even through the capacity of the solar power plant is 12.7MW.
