Shimizu to Construct 3MW Solar Plant in Iwate

Shimizu Corp announced June 10, 2014, that it will build a 3MW mega (large-scale) solar power plant in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture, Japan.

The total investment will be about ¥1 billion (approx US$9.8 million). Shimizu will set up about 14,000 solar panels (3.7MW) on a site of about 60,000m2 in an industrial park. The construction is scheduled to begin in June and be completed within seven months after that.
