Bit-isle Inc, a Japan-based firm that runs data centers, announced June 5, 2014, that it will build a mega (large-scale) solar power plant with an output capacity of about 11MW in Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.

Terra Power Co Ltd (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo), which is a subsidiary of Bit-isle and runs renewable energy-based power generation facilities, will be a power producer for the plant.

The construction of the plant is scheduled to be completed in March 2015. After the completion, Bit-isle will own the plant or sell it to general investors.
