10MW Solar Plant to Be Built on Former Golf Course Site in Kagawa

The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co Ltd, Tokyu Land Corp, etc will jointly finance a mega (large-scale) solar power plant to be built on the site of a golf course in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.

The golf course is scheduled to be closed in May 2014. And about 10MW of solar panels will be installed on 154,000m2 of land. The expected amount of electricity generated is equivalent to that consumed by about 3,500 normal households.
