Irisohyama Inc exhibited a straight tube LED lamp with a luminous efficiency of 180lm/W at LED Next Stage 2014, a trade show that took place from March 4 to 7, 2014, in Tokyo.

The lamp has the highest level of efficiency of any straight tube LED lamp exhibited in Japan. Irisohyama showcased the "180 Series" of its "ECOHiLUX HE" straight tube LED lamp. The company has already released the "140 Series" (140lm/W) and announced that it will launch the "160 Series" (160lm/W) and "Α Series" (170lm/W) in series.

This time, Irisohyama considers the 180 Series as a prototype and has not announced that the company will release it.

"In fact, we have already achieved an efficiency of 182lm/W," the company said. "We believe that we can further improve the efficiency. We purchase LED chips from multiple companies."
