Sakata Co Ltd exhibited various metal parts used to attach solar panels on folded-plate roofs at a trade show in Japan.

Sakata Co Ltd is a major manufacturer of components of metal roofs. Folded-plate roofs are commonly used for large-scale facilities in Japan. The trade show is the 6th Int'l Photovoltaic Power Generation System Expo, which took place from Feb 26 to 28, 2014, in Tokyo.

To install solar panels on the slanted areas of a folded-plate roof consisting of V-shaped building materials, it is not possible to make holes on the roof or damage it. In addition, it is desirable not to affect the coating of the roof. On top of that, enough strength is required to prevent solar panels from being blown away by wind pressure.
