Renova to Build 25MW Solar Plant in Planned Resort Area

Renova Inc (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) announced that it has launched a project for installing and operating a mega-solar (large-scale solar) power plant in Kokonoe-machi, Kusu-gun, Oita Prefecture, Japan, Feb 7, 2014.

For the project, part of land to be used for resort development will be used. The output capacity of the plant will be about 25.4MW. The expected amount of electricity generated at the plant is about 24,000,000kWh per year, which is equivalent to the amount of power consumed by about 7,000 households per year. Renova will start construction of the plant in February 2014, aiming to start operations in May 2015.
