Mitsubishi Electric Corp received an order for a solar power generation system with an output power of about 13.2MW for a mega-solar (large-scale solar) power plant that Mitsubishi Corp is promoting in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.
This was announced Feb 14, 2014. The name of the plant is "Nagasaki Tadewara Mega-solar Plant." The plant is expected to generate an amount of electricity equivalent to that consumed by 3,500 households.

The power producer is Nagasaki Tadewara Solar Limited Liability Co (LLC). The LLC is a special purpose company (SPC) funded by Diamond Solar Japan K.K. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi), Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Co Ltd and Toda Corp.
Mitsubishi Electric provides comprehensive services such as the design, manufacturing, construction and maintenance of mega-solar plants.
