Mitsubishi Electric Corp will release 8.4-inch SVGA, 9.0-inch WXGA and 10.6-inch WXGA projected capacitive touch panels as new products of the "Diafine" industrial color TFT LCD module Feb 8, 2013.

The company launched 6.5-inch VGA, 10.4-inch XGA and 12.1-inch XGA LCD modules of the same type in July 2012.

The main features of the new panels are the same as those of the panels released in 2012. First, they can be operated with hands wearing rubber gloves and behind a 2.8mm glass cover. Second, a high transmittance was realized by employing a low-resistance metal wire for the sensor electrodes to reduce wire thickness and attaching the TFT LCD module and the touch panel with plastic.

Third, Mitsubishi Electric will provide the LCD module, touch panel, control board, software for driving the panel as a set. Fourth, a high reliability was realized by the integrated manufacturing of the LCD module, touch panel, glass cover and control board.
