Nikon Corp canceled the release the "Coolpix S4100" digital camera, which was scheduled to be launched in May 2011.

The company concluded that it is difficult to stably manufacture and supply the camera because procurement of some parts became difficult in the wake of the earthquakes that hit Japan.

Nikon announced the Coolpix S4100 Feb 9, 2011. It is equipped with a touch panel and a 1/2.3-inch CCD with a pixel count of 14.48 million.

In regard to digital cameras, Casio Computer Co Ltd announced April 11, 2011, that it postponed the release of the "Exilim EX-TR100," which was originally scheduled to be launched in April 2011, due to the difficulty in procuring parts.
