Optiled Japan to Release String-like LED Lamp

Optiled Japan Ltd will release a string-like LED lamp for use in ornaments and indirect illumination in July 2010.

The LED lamp, "CabLED," is made by lining up LED packages in thermoplastic polyurethane at an interval of 30mm. It can be placed in a narrow path, under shelves, around furniture and in other narrow spaces. It can be cut in increments of 180mm.

The LED package is a product of Cree Inc. The length of the CabLED starts from 900mm. It comes in two colors: warm color (color temperature: 3,500K, total luminous flux: 147lm) and white (color temperature: 6,500K, total luminous flux: 172lm). Its product life is 35,000 hours.

The 900mm product has a weight of 100g and a power consumption of 3.7W.
