Sharp Corp exhibited a 3D LCD TV mounted with a Blu-ray Disc (BD) player that supports 3D video at the 2010 International CES.

The company has already released an Aquos TV featuring a BD player. This time, it introduced the same concept to a 3D TV.

The screen size and the pixel count of the 3D LCD TV are 60 inches and 1,920 x 1,080 (full HD), respectively. It is equipped with an LED backlight and a panel made by using a photo-alignment technology called "UV2A."

To display 3D images, Sharp employed the "time-division method," which uses glasses with active LCD shutters. The images for the right and left eyes are driven at 120Hz (60Hz each).

The company plans to release the 3D LCD TV at the end of 2010.
