Samsung SDI Co Ltd developed a flexible full-color OLED panel and exhibited it at FPD International 2008.
It has a screen size of 6.5 inches and a resolution of 480 x 272. It is capable of full-color display with about 16 million colors. The company did not reveal its luminance or contrast ratio.
To curve the panel, Samsung SDI adopted "a material other than glass for the substrate," a Samsung staffer said. Low-temperature polysilicon TFT is used for the drive element. And its device structure is a top emission type. Organic EL materials for RGB colors are applied by using a metal mask.
