Realtek, ASUSTek Collaborate on W-USB-Based Wireless Monitors

Realtek Semiconductor Corp has said it is working with ASUSTeK Computer Inc on wireless monitors, a new product series designed to set a new paradigm for monitor convenience and ease of use, employing Wireless USB technology from Realtek.

By eliminating video cables, wireless monitors reduce clutter and permit more flexible and streamlined office layouts. The connection and disconnection process is reduced for convenience via automatic system configuration, creating an "easy come, easy go" experience. With a high bandwidth wireless connection, the wireless monitor offers the performance of a wired connection with the flexibility of wireless.

The ASUS wireless monitor employs an integrated Wireless USB module from Realtek,embedded into the monitor. The monitor pairs with either Wireless USB HWA (host wire adapter) or WHCI (wireless host controller interface) solutions attached to the PC.
