Qualcomm Inc and Lenovo Mobile Communications Technology Ltd have entered into a subscriber unit license agreement to cover WCDMA subscriber products.
Under the terms of the agreement, Qualcomm has granted Lenovo Mobile a patent license to develop, manufacture and sell WCDMA subscriber units for high-speed broadband wireless access. Additionally, the two companies intend to cooperate in the development of certain subscriber unit products incorporating CDMA technology.
"Lenovo Mobile's initiative in adding WCDMA products to its portfolio is a testament to their cutting-edge product design strategies and commitment to meeting the current and future mobile connectivity needs of consumers," said Marvin Blecker, president of Qualcomm Technology Licensing.
Lenovo Mobile Communication Technology Ltd, a subsidiary of Lenovo Group, specializes in the R&D, production and marketing of mobile phones.
