US Price of Toyota Hybrid SUV "Highlander Hybrid" Begins at 33,030 dollars

Toyota Motor Corp. has announced the US price of the hybrid SUV "Highlander Hybrid" (Japanese name: Kluger Hybrid). The car was released on March 22, 2005. Toyota plans to launch this car in US in June, 2005. The 2WD model excluding the rear wheel motor begins at 33,030 dollars (3,570,000 yen: conversion at 1 dollar = 108 yen), the 4WD model 34,430 dollars (3,720,000 yen: same as above).

The limited edition of Highlander Hybrid, which is equipped with an automatic air conditioner, theft prevention system and leather interior as the base model, has been priced from has two models has two models: the 2WD model begins at 37,890 dollars (4,090,000 yen: same as above), the 4WD model 39,290 dollars (4,240,000 yen: same as above).

Toyota has also announced to raise the US price of the hybrid sedan "Prius". The car will be available at the beginning price of 29,750 dollars (2,270,000 yen: same as above) from April 4, 2005. The raise will be about 100 dollars or 0.5% depending on the grade of the car.
