Hanwha Q Cells Japan Co Ltd released three kinds of new residential solar panels Jan 25, 2017. They are 300W 60-cell, 240W 48-cell and 290W 60-cell monocrystalline silicon panels.
In addition to the "PERC (passivated emitter and rear cell)" technology, which captures incident sunlight in a cell, the company employed a newly-developed technology to stabilize output.
Panels having the PERC structure cause the "LID" phenomenon, which lowers output because of the structural change of the inside of the cell at an early stage. Hanwha Q Cells Japan developed "Anti-LID," a technology to prevent this phenomenon by adding an inactivated additive to a wafer, and applied it to the new products.
