NDS has announced that Gujarat Telelink Private Ltd (GTPL), an independent cable TV provider in Gujarat, India, is deploying an end-to-end solution from NDS to power and protect its digital services. GTPL plans to deploy NDS's VideoGuard conditional access technology, MediaHighway middleware, interactive applications including games and an electronic programme guide (EPG). The VideoGuard will secure over 180 digital TV channels, as well as value-added services. GTPL also plans to launch video on demand (VOD) based on NDS's technology in the coming months. NDS is currently supporting four major operators to securely bring advanced TV to Indian subscribers.
