Mumbai-based Pankaj Potentiometers has added single-turn conductive plastic potentiometers, the SCP-25, to its existing products. The chips are designed for applications where control and long life are required. It can also be used for applications where continuous operation with long life is expected. The potentiometer features both gold-plated PCB and wiper contact, a 25mm thermoplastic housing with a 3mm anti-rotating pin projecting at 20mm PCD. It also has brass-nickel plated panel mounting bush of 3/8 x 32 TPI, a 15mm brass-nickel plated 6.35mm diameter shaft, and 2.54mm pitch Ralimat compatible PCB holes. Standard resistance values are 1kOhm, 5kOhm and 10kOhm, with a +/-20% tolerance, as well as an infinite resolution with low ppm, good linearity and long life of 5 million cycles.
